Easter

The Easter bunny came to our house and hid his stash at the end of a jelly bean trail. Two weeks earlier Mom and Dad tried to purchase a new Mario game to be delivered by the Easter Bunny...however we were not sneaky enough and it was discovered at the store. We were sticklers though and made the boys wait to open it until Easter, so we got a few treats from the Easter Bunny and one most anticipated game to play.

We all wore our nice church clothes which included a new dress and headband for Avery (that I did not get a picture of) and went to church.
After sacrament meeting we drove up to Grandma Connie's for dinner and an Easter egg hunt. We had a great day. Really we had a great Easter month as we focused all of our family home evening lessons on Easter. It was wonderful to teach the boys about the Atonement and Resurrection. On our way home from Grandma Connie's we listened to Bruce R. McConkie's "The purifying power of Gethsemane." Elder McConkie's testimony really gave us some insight into the meaning of Easter. The Barnum family had a great Easter holiday and looks forward to it again next year.
And now some pics to enjoy:

The Easter Bunny the night before.

And a close up of Avery just because she's beautiful.
